The location was nice and excellent, close enough to the train station, a museum, and many good restaurants, two market days and one Saturday. Also, it was 3 miles from Igreja Matriz de Caminha Catholic Church. There were central heating, tea/coffee making equipment, and a writing table in my reasonably spacious room.

Simply no complaints, such wonderful stay. Lovely old and stylish hotel, staff always very hospitable! The rooms with modern radiators, the finishing touch to what is a special place. Comfortable decoration in the rooms, excellent and amazing location. Location just off maintained garden, river and mountains and many good restaurants, two market days and one Saturday. Again, walking distance to Capela de Sao Bento.

Great value for money, room was clean and comfortable. The location was beautiful with a nice view over the river from the bedroom. The staff treated us with a warm welcome and gave us a mini tour explaining the history of the place.
The food for breakfast could have been more varied.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, allowing for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of fresh and local pastries that were a delight to wake up to. The location of the hotel was a key advantage, as it was conveniently located near a train station, making it easy to explore different places. the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff made us feel at home.
The hotel was located quite far from the town, making it difficult to access without a car. The busy road in front of the hotel was also a downside, as it caused noise disturbance at times.

The Palacete Villa Idalina offers a unique experience in a +100-year-old historic building. The amazing view of the river to Spain from the tower adds to the charm. The friendly owner provides a historical tour through the house, explaining all the furniture and details from 1900. It's perfect for nature lovers seeking a direct connection with the surroundings.
Felt incredibly fortunate to have discovered this gem. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

The owners, Susana and Andrés, were incredibly welcoming and clearly enjoyed sharing the wonders of their villa with their guests. The location was fantastic, and the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying. We felt like we were staying in a place filled with character and elegance.
In my wife's opinion, the only thing that could have made the experience even better would have been if there were more activities specifically catered towards children.

👍 Cleanliness was top-notch - everything was spotless and well-maintained. 👍 The location couldn't be better - right across from the train station and in a beautiful area of Portugal. 👍 The family who runs the place is amazing - they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. 👍 The breakfast was delicious - with a wide variety of homemade produce - pastries - fruits, and local sausages and cheeses.
Totally recommend!

The owner, Susana, was a total legend and made sure we had the best time ever. The vintage suite room they upgraded us to was next level cool and the view of the Minho River and Spain was sick! Plus, being between Caminha and Vila Nova de Cerveira meant we were right in the party zone. We would definitely go back!
If there was one thing we would have asked for to make our stay even more awesome, it would be a DJ or a live band playing some sick beats by the pool. That would have taken the party vibes to the next level and made it a truly unforgettable experience for us young party-goers.
